I
visually inspect each album. If you are interested in
an album and would like me to test-play it, just ask and I'll be happy to do it.
ALBUM
GRADING
SEALED = Album has never been opened or
played
MINT
= May be opened (or never sealed) but looks unused
NEAR
MINT = Just short of mint, virtually no marks
EXCELLENT = Shows light use, may have a couple
light scuffs that shouldn't be noticeable when
played
VERY
GOOD = Shows normal use (not abuse), may have moderate
scuffs and scratches that cause some mild surface
noise, but not so bad that it keeps you from enjoying
the album
FAIR = This
record
is basically worn out but may still be playable. Unless it
is very
rare, I won't sell an album in this grade.
ALBUM
COVER GRADING
SEALED = Cover has never been opened
MINT
= May have been opened (or never sealed) but looks like new
NEAR
MINT = Shows minor signs of handling
EXCELLENT = Shows normal
light handling, but no splits
in seams or other serious aesthetic problems. May have some
light wear on edges and corners, and may have light ringwear
from the album
VERY
GOOD = Shows considerable handling (not abuse), may have
small to medium split seams or clear tape repairs, may
have scuffs and minor creases, may have moderate to
heavy ringwear, may have some writing. A decent
looking album but one that was obviously used.
FAIR = Shows heavy use,
large
seam splits, significant writing or graffiti, heavy ring
wear, and/or has other serious problems that make it aesthetically unpleasing
and is only useful to protect the album
