THE DIXIE MELODY BOYS

The Dixie Melody Boys of Kinston, NC was founded in 1961.  Their famous bass Ed O'Neal joined in 1963.  Many great singers were members of DMB, and the group was sometimes referred to as "Ed O'Neal University" because of his impact on Southern Gospel music.  Even Glen Payne of the Cathedrals was an early member of the group.  In the Southern Gospel Hall of Fame and Active for 60 years, this is definitely a group you will want to hear.
